In addition to the Pet Animal Rubber Bands Pack, I also found a Zoo Animal Rubber Bands Pack at Learning Express. Just like with the Pet Animal Rubber Bands Pack, the label said Pet & Zoo Animal Rubber Bands. While the Pet Animal Rubber Bands Pack had a pink band across the top. The Zoo Animal Rubber Bands Pack has a light blue band across the top. Here is a photo of the package. The front of the package only shows pictures of the zoo assortment.
Yesterday, I blogged about how the Learning Express Toys Wishbook had an advertisement for animal rubber bands. Today, I picked up a 12 Pack labeled Pet & Zoo Animal Rubber Bands at Learning Express. The package had a pink band across the top, but there is no company name as to who made it. Here is a photo of the front of the package. Here's another really cool item from The Band Wagon. They have printed up Animal Bracelets Collector Cards. The first one is labeled "limited edition collector card #1" so this is the first in a series that The Band Wagon plans to make.
About a week ago, I blogged about some really cool metal clips that The Band Wagon has for holding your Animal Bracelets. The Band Wagon has the metal clips in exclusive designs, and they call them Band Wranglers. Initially, The Band Wagon got Band Wranglers in Heart, Butterfly, Car, and Bone shapes. However, they now also have them in Flower, Fish, and Dollar Sign shapes. I recently got a Band Wrangler of my very own (the purple butterfly), and I loaded it up with several Animal Bracelets.

This might mark the first time that I've ever seen Animal Bracelets advertised in print. The new Learning Express Toys December Wishbook 2009 has an ad for Animal Rubber Bands on page 22. The picture shows turtle, rabbit, and pig rubber bands with the price of $2.49. The ad doesn't specify whether it is referring to a 6 pack, 12 pack, or 24 pack of Animal Rubber Bands. There is a notation that selection may vary by store. Also on the back of the Learning Express Toys December Wishbook 2009, there are two coupons. One is for $7 off a purchase of $35 or more and is good from now until December 24, 2009. The other coupon is for $5 off a purchase of $25 or more and is good from December 26, 2009 until January 31, 2010.

Did you know there are at least three different star rubber bands that you can buy? The one that you've probably seen the most of is the dark blue star that comes in the very popular Silly Bandz Basic Shapes Pack. It's one of the favorites among many Animal Bracelets collectors. There is also a light blue star that comes in the DiVoga Animal Rubber Band Packs sold at Office Max. And there is yellow star in the Toysmith Fun Shapes Rubber Bands Pack. Here is a photo of all three stars side-by-side.
Have you seen the movie Up? It's a great movie, and I did this Animal Bracelets Fan Art as a tribute to the movie. Here is the old man from the movie emerging from his house after it has been taken away by balloons. He is surprised by a Tyrannosaurus Rex. I made this Animal Bracelets Fan Art using the Dino Animal Rubber Bands Pack and the Toysmith Cars Rubber Band Pack.
I've got two different versions of the Baby Christmas Tree rubber band. I've got a dark green version that came in a generic plastic bag and I've got a light green version that came in the Toysmith Fun Shapes Pack. The dark green version is likely the most rare, as there are lots more Toysmith Fun Shapes Packs with the light green Baby Christmas Trees starting to show up in stores.
Lots of people will be rushing out to the stores to do their holiday shopping today. There will likely be many Animal Bracelets purchased, as they make great stocking stuffers. Just remember the lesson from when the Turtle raced the Hare. Slow and steady wins the race.
